Territorial peace: land governance and sustainable peacebuilding

Conflicts have a strong impact on land tenure, use, distribution, accessibility, and governance; consequently, sustainable strategy for peacebuilding requires the set-up of land-based institutional arrangements from peace negotiation phase onwards. Based concept territorial peace, these key role in reconstruction collective, productive, symbolic functions territory after conflicts, addressing conflict root causes related to inequality. This paper contributes development by providing framework its operationalisation, based three categories arrangements, testing it, qualitatively explore compare two comprehensive agreements: Colombia Philippines. Land may take peacemaker peace’s collective dimensions, especially when it is at core agreement; however, implementation remains volatile if lacks trust, security, technical capacity.
